At the centre of an area characterized by a rich repertoire of historical, architectural, artistic and archaeological heritage in the territory of Volterra and by many other reasons of interest like the handcrafting of alabaster and the use of geothermal energy, on the rolling hills of the Valle dei Fosci rises thI farmhouse: country settlement of the Maffei, bought in 1516 by The Inghirami. Salvator Rosa, his wife Lucrezia and his son Rosario were often guests in the villa that was then built there.
ACCOMMODATION:
Two-roomed, it is composed of a double bedroom, a single bedroom and a full bathroom. The single bedroom is equipped with a cooking area with a small fridge, a stove, a tap and dinnerware.
Apartment Nord it is 80 square metres large, It includes 3 bedrooms (sleeps 5+1), a large living area with a kitchen and a dishwasher.
Apartment sud, its surface is of about 80 sqare metres, it is composed of: two double bedrooms, one single (with a possibility of an extra single bed), two bathrooms (both with shower) a huge living room with kitchen, dishwasher and a wide terrace with gazebo.
Apartment Est is l150 square metres; bright living room that is directly connected to the kitchen and dining room, three bedrooms (sleeps 6+2) this apartment includes two bathrooms and a terrace, with a lovely view on the Tuscan countryside.
Apartment Ovest, is about 150 square metres, and includes three bedrooms (sleeps 6+2), two bathrooms, a huge livingroom with fireplace and a spacious kitchen.
Children and adults may visit the farm animals, the horses and the wild boars. In the centre of our farm stands the old stone house, split into various apartments of different sizes and the swimming-pool among the tuscan hills.
the farmhouse is located in a landscape of breathtaking beauty near Volterra, in the middle of the Berignone forests, and of Tatti, a natural reserve.
The pool measures 16x18 metres, and the poolside features an ample gazebo for those who prefer to relax in the shade, as well as cots and deckchairs for those who enjoy sunbathing. Near the pool is also a playground for your children.

From September to December in our farm’s woods and the ones surrounding the farm, we reserve unique experiences for those who love mycology or are culinary fans, The flora of the forest is composed mainly of Quercus ilex, Quercus pubescens, Quercus Leccis, Pineo Pinus, Arbutus unedo, and gather there in abundance: Amanita Caesarea, Amanita rubescens, Amanita Ovoidea, Fulva Amanita, Boletus Aereus, Cantarellus Cibarius, Macrolepiota Procera, Russula Aurata (for beginners: eggs, porcini, chanterelles, drum sticks, doves). Company experts are always present in mushrooms and a mycologist who will help in sorting when you need it.
